Our aims.

We want our business to have a positive impact on the lives of our teams, customers, learners and our suppliers.

Each year, the entire team select an organisation that they want to receive a donation on their behalf. This is all part of our 12 days before Christmas and ‘ted giving back’

Since we formed the business in 2012, we’ve always been committed to doing the right thing. We know we don’t always get it right, but we strive hard to learn from our mistakes and make sure our focus is on people – whether they work with us, learn from us or provide us with services.

Our Social Responsibility Programme has three areas of focus, with a clear commitment against each one. These commitments are delivered through a series of projects with measurable targets. This helps us to focus on the important things and ensure we do business in a way that brings benefits to people who buy training from us, work for us or supply us.

Giving

Giving Back.

Our team are encouraged to support local communities across the UK and we give them paid time to provide assistance. We also have our annual '12 days before Christmas' event, where staff nominate charities and organisations that they feel need financial support. The Board then select 12 each year and we make a donation to each on behalf of the individual that selected them - all part of 'ted giving back'. Our team get the chance to record a video to show why they are supporting this particular cause.

People.

We are committed to creating a great place to work. Our culture and values shape how we work in our day-to-day. They are more than just words to everyone at ted Learning Group; they were chosen by our team as vital elements which shape us and enable us to create a respectful culture.

Our team are empowered to take the path less travelled, to push boundaries and to do it all with passion and determination. Our values apply to everyone working at ted Learning Group from day one. We embed them in everything we do.

environment.

We will always strive to minimise our impact on the environment. Whether that is creating digital content for learners to engage with from home, blended learning to minimise the need for travel to sourcing all materials we use from like minded suppliers. Our printers (http://www.topprint.co.uk) for example are one of the UK's most environmentally friendly and we reduce waste by only ordering from them what we need rather than be confined to minimum orders resulting in unnecessary waste. We promote our cycle to work scheme and reduce reliance on car to use public transport. Jane our People Planning Manager keeps us in check when it comes to recycling too!
